These are problems that should not occur with a music player. utilizing a scroll bar in IE printing a word document. Certain mundane Windows tasks have caused problems with iTunes sound output as well. If there is another application utilizing DirectSound at the same time as iTunes is playing, why does iTunes playback become unbearable (speeds up/slows down/garbles)?ģ.

iTunes' answer to conflicting DirectSound applications is to ask their manufacturer to convert to Wave Out?ġ. This includes playing games that utilize DirectSound. I enjoy listening to music while doing other things.
